Mazda Canada has unveiled the pricing structure for the all-new 2024 Mazda CX-50. Tailored for the active lifestyles of North Americans, the CX-50 serves as a rugged and reliable companion for those looking to delve into outdoor excursions. Combining Mazda's quintessential on-road driving dynamics with a fresh off-road capability, the CX-50 is set to roll into dealerships across the nation with a starting MSRP of $39,300. A turbocharged model will also be on offer at $46,750.

Purchasers of the CX-50 will have a choice between two efficient powertrain options. The first is a Skyactiv-G 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine which delivers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. For those craving more power, there's the Skyactiv-G 2.5L turbocharged variant. This powerhouse, running on premium 93 octane gas, produces an impressive 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, while on regular 87 octane gas, it outputs 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are seamlessly paired with a Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission. The CX-50 will come equipped with the standard i-Activ All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive, ensuring superior handling in varying conditions.

The CX-50 range starts with the GS-L model priced at $39,300. This entry-level model isn't short on features, boasting a myriad of standard premium amenities. These include the Mazda ConnectTM infotainment system, a power-sliding panoramic moonroof, and Mazda Connected Services, among others.

Next in line is the GT model at $44,250, which introduces several visual and technological enhancements, most notably 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and a Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system.

For those seeking performance, the GT Turbo, priced at $46,750, offers the aforementioned turbocharged engine, coupled with distinct exterior design elements such as Turbo badging.

Rounding off the lineup is the Meridian Edition at $49,250, which encapsulates the adventurous essence of the CX-50. There's also an exclusive Apex Package available for the Meridian Edition, taking the price to $50,650, and adding outdoor-centric features like roof-mounted black crossbars and front and rear splash guards.

With its blend of design, technology, and performance, the 2024 Mazda CX-50 is set to be a compelling offering in the crossover SUV segment.
