Mazda Canada has rolled out the details for the 2024 CX-5, their top-selling vehicle in the country. With the new model year comes the introduction of the Suna Edition, marked by the exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic paint which brilliantly complements the Mazda's Kodo design philosophy. Notably, Mazda confirms that all CX-5 2024 models will feature the brand's i-ACTIV all-wheel drive as standard, ensuring consistency across the lineup for Canadian buyers.


The 2024 Mazda CX-5 will be available in a total of eight configurations. At the entry level, the CX-5 GX begins with an MSRP of $32,250. This model boasts Mazda's Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine, delivering up to 187 horsepower. New for 2024, the CX-5 GX models benefit from i-Stop technology, improving fuel economy, resulting in a gain of 0.5 L/100km. Subsequent trims include the GS, Kuro Edition, GT, Sport Design, Suna Edition, and the premium CX-5 Signature. The latter being priced at $44,950 and is equipped with Mazda's latest i-ACTIVSENSE safety features.


For those prioritizing safety, it's worth noting that the 2024 CX-5 continues to carry forward the engineering and safety accolades from its predecessors. The 2023 model notably received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK. Standard safety features across all 2024 models encompass an array of technologies, including Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support Front, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, and more.


At the technological forefront, every CX-5 model offers Mazda Connected Services for two years, which lets owners monitor and control the state of the vehicle remotely. In addition, the 10.25" centre display is now touch-sensitive when used with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing the overall user experience.
