2024 Mazda CX-30: A Comprehensive Look at Pricing and Features

Mazda Canada has just lifted the curtain on its 2024 CX-30 model, revealing not just pricing but an array of enhancements and a new Suna model. With an upgraded Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre engine and a myriad of technological improvements, this year's CX-30 aims to refine the driving experience.

Engine and Performance

The 2024 CX-30 ditches the previous Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter engine for an upgraded Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine with cylinder deactivation. The new engine offers 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, marking a 28% increase in horsepower and improved fuel efficiency.

Base Model: CX-30 GX

Starting at $28,150, the GX model features Mazda’s latest i-Activ AWD system, aimed at enhancing driving dynamics and vehicle control. It is accompanied by standard G-Vectoring Control Plus and Off-Road Traction Assist. Powering the GX is the aforementioned Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring manual-shift mode and drive selection switch. On the safety front, the base model includes Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Two years of complimentary Mazda Connected Services is another notable inclusion.

Interior and Exterior Features

Inside the GX, an 8.8-inch center display showcases the latest Mazda Connect infotainment system, wired Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The car also features a Mazda Harmonic Acoustics eight-speaker sound system and a variety of other amenities like electronic parking brake and manual climate control. The exterior is marked by LED automatic headlights, black rear roof spoiler, and 16-inch dark grey high lustre metallic finish aluminum alloy wheels.

Higher Tier: CX-30 GS and GS Luxury Package

The GS model, priced at $31,450, builds on the GX by adding more safety features, including Mazda Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning System. Luxuries such as dual-zone automatic climate control and heated steering wheel are also standard. A GS Luxury Package is available for $33,650 and offers upscale features like a larger 10.25-inch display and leatherette-trimmed upholstery.

The GT Experience

The GT model, at $37,550, takes it up another notch with a Bose 12-speaker audio system and a full-color windshield-projected Active Driving Display. It introduces a plethora of safety features including a level two driver assistance technology known as Cruising and Traffic Support.

Peak Performance: CX-30 GT Turbo

The GT Turbo, priced at $39,950, is designed for those craving more power. Its Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine can produce up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when fueled with premium 93 octane.

The Newcomer: CX-30 Suna Edition

Priced at $40,700, the Suna Edition brings unique features like a Zircon Sand exterior color and Terracotta leatherette-trimmed seats.

In conclusion, with the introduction of new features and a new model, the 2024 Mazda CX-30 brings a well-rounded package to potential buyers. From performance to comfort, each model in the lineup offers a tailored experience, allowing you to choose what best fits your needs.
